Milkshake Recipes


Chocolate Milk Shake

2 cups Alpenrose vanilla ice cream
1 cup Alpenrose milk
6 tbs chocolate Syrup

Combine ice cream, milk and chocolate syrup in a blender. Blend for 15 seconds, or until smooth. Serve immediately.

Makes 2 servings

Strawberry Milk Shake

2 cups Alpenrose vanilla ice cream
1 cup Alpenrose milk
1/2 cup frozen strawberries

Combine ice cream, milk and strawberries in a blender. Blend for 15 seconds, or until smooth. Serve immediately.

Makes 2 servings.

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Milkshake

2 cups Alpenrose milk
2 cups Alpenrose chocolate ice cream
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/8 cup skinned and shelled peanuts
10 to 12 small peanut butter cups
Whipped cream (optional)


1. Blend milk, chocolate ice cream and peanut butter 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth.
2. Add peanuts to the mixture.
3. Blend again until peanuts are smooth.
4. Pour into glasses.
5. Add whipped cream if you'd like.
6. Place peanut butter cups in the whipped cream or the milkshake.

Makes 3 to 4 servings.

Chocolate-Swirled Strawberry Milk Shakes

2 teaspoons Chocolate Flavor Syrup - divided use
1 cup Alpenrose vanilla ice cream
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1/2 cup Alpenrose fat free milk

1. Squeeze 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup on inside of glass; rotate glass so chocolate syrup is swirled on the inside of the glass. Repeat process with second glass.

2. Place ice cream, strawberries and milk in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Carefully divide milk shake between prepared glasses so chocolate syrup remains on the insides of glasses.

Makes 2 servings.

O'Milkshake

1 cup Alpenrose fat free skim or 1% lowfat milk
1 peeled, sliced ripe banana
2 tablespoons frozen apple or guava juice concentrate
2 ice cubes

1. In a blender container, combine milk, banana, frozen apple or guava juice concentrate and ice cubes. Cover and blend until smooth and frothy.

2. Pour into glass.

Makes 1 serving.

Cooking Tip: Leftover ripe bananas can be peeled, cut in chunks and frozen in plastic freezer bags. When added to smoothies in frozen state, ice cubes are not necessary.
